Two soldiers have been recently injured by gunshots on the Nagorno Karabakh-Azerbaijan contact line, the press service of the Nagorno Karabakh Defense Army reported.
At 12:25 pm on January 14, Private Vardan Harutyunuyan (born in 1992) was wounded in the left collar-bone as a result of the enemy's gunfire in the south-eastern section (Martuni) of the contact line. Harutyunyan was later hospitalized; his condition is reported to be satisfactory.
A similar gunfire shot at 17:20pm on January 15 in the eastern section (Askeran) of the contact line, wounded Defense Army serviceman Khachatur Aslanyan (born in 1992) who was also hospitalized and is reported to be in a satisfactory condition.
The Azerbaijani armed forces violated the ceasefire accord on the contact line 550 times last week, opening fire from guns of different calibers.
