The Turkish lawyer Bendal Celil Ezman applied to a Turkish court, demanding the admission of the Armenian Genocide and conviction of Talaat Pasha. He also demanded that the streets bearing his name be renamed.
Haberturk reported that the lawyer participated in a signature-gathering campaign, is motto being “Forgive us, Armenians.” He insisted that Armenians fell victims to planned pogroms in 1915. The lawyer pointed out that he had been denied the documents on the trials held in 1918 and 1922, when those responsible for displacing Armenians in April and May 1915 were found guilty.
“Turkey must face its own history. It is the first such case in Turkey,” he said.
