Turkey should follow Serbia’s lead in tolerance, humanism
14:45 / 04/03/2010Resolution condemning 1915 mass killings of Bosnian Muslims in Srebrenica adopted by Serbian parliament proves true tolerance and humanism peculiar to European states, Armenian Republican Party faction leader Eduard Sharmazanov told NEWS.am.
“Turkey, seeking to join European family with its vehement attempts to prove inhering to European race, should follow Serbia’s lead and ask Armenians' pardon for crimes committed in the beginning of last century. It will be the best proof of Turkey’s sincere aspirations to adhere to European standards and culture,” MP said. He also noted that Germany that recognized Holocaust and apologized to Jews is another good example to follow.
