Armenian NA speaker meets ARTOC Group President

The Armenian Parliament will ratify the Armenian-Turkish protocols only after the Turkish Parliament has done it, Speaker of the RA Parliament Hovik Abrahamyan stated at his meeting with Shafik Gabr, President of the ARTOC Group for Investment and Development (Egypt).
The RA Parliament’s press service told NEWS.am that Speaker Abrahamyan restated that the Armenian-Turkish protocols must only deal with the establishment of Armenian-Turkish diplomatic relations and reopening of border.
The sides also discussed ARTOC Group’s investment programs in Armenia and fields of further cooperation.
Mr. Shafik Gabr said that the company is interested in investing in Armenia and plans to select the fields after studying the country’s potential. The company aims at raising living standards in Armenia by means of investments. Mr. Shafik Gabr also said that the company plans to realize an idea of Smart Village in Yerevan. The idea was realized on a larger- scale in the outskirts of Cairo. The international organizations willing to cooperate with Armenia and Egypt will be involved in the project. Mr. Garb announced his plans to bring business propositions to Armenia soon.
