The Swedish citizens of Turkish origin are seriously concerned over possible victory of the left-wing opposition parties at the forthcoming parliamentary elections, as they advocated for the adoption of the resolution on the Armenian Genocide.
Turks residing in Sweden urged the Turkish population not to vote for left-wing parties at the elections scheduled for September 19. In particular, the Swedish Social Democratic Party, Left Party and Green Party are blacklisted, Haberx reported.
The mentioned parties pledged to shift issue on the Armenian Genocide to the UN and include the Genocide in the Swedish textbooks, in case they come to power.
As NEWS.am reported earlier, on March 11, 2010 the Swedish Parliament approved resolution condemning the Genocide of Armenians, Pontic Greeks and Assyrians through the efforts of left-wing parties.
