On August 23, a group of activists of the Karabakh Liberation Organization NGO tried to hold an unauthorized protest action near the Russian Embassy in Baku.
The participants tried to burn the Russian and Armenian flags, chanting slogans against the agreement signed in military sphere, but policemen took away the flags, Interfax reported.
Policemen did not allow 30 activists to approach the embassy building.
Police permitted one of the participants to hand resolution to the representative of the Russian embassy. The document said that agreements between Armenia and Russia in military sphere undermine Russia’s authority as an unbiased mediator in the Karabakh peace process, Azerbaijani press reported.
