TEZ TOUR admits violence against
Armenian tourists
July 31, 2010 19:06
The Armenian office of the TEZ TOUR travel agency has admitted the fact that Armenian tourists were beaten up in Turkey. Responding to a NEWS.am correspondent’s inquiry, Director of the TEZ TOUR office in Armenia Narine Davtyan admitted the fact.
Below is her answer without any changes:
“Our tourists were staying at the Aventura Park hotel in Alanya. The TEZ TOUR office in Antalya was informed of the hotel incident. A guide left for Alanya to inquire into the incident. He found out that a quarrel had taken place between the holiday-makers and the hotel staff, as the guests were intoxicated and repeatedly provoking the hotel staff into a conflict. The quarrel resulted in a fight.
“The hotel managers called the police. After the talks between the hotel managers and TEZ TOUR representatives, the hotel withdrew its statement to the police. After TEZ TOUR settled the problem, the Sarajyans stayed at the hotel, without demanding to be moved to another hotel. It is noteworthy that this is the only incident since TEZ TOUR launched its activities in Armenia.”
According to the statement, “regardless of the situation and the host country our clients ALWAYS receive the necessary assistance in resolving any problem.”
P.S. NEWS.am makes no comments on TEZ TOUR’s version of the incident. A simple question is: “Was a 15-year-old boy beaten up at the hotel drunk?”
