Baku calls on ECO member states to
strengthen support for Karabakh
conflict resolution

Baku called on the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) to strengthen the strong and consistent support for rapid resolution of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov said at the 19th Meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).
“The unresolved conflict is a major impediment for the stability, development and prosperity of the ECO region. In this regard, the organization and its member states should extend their resolute and consistent support for the position of Azerbaijan aimed at speedy solution of the conflict and “restoration of its territorial integrity,” he said.
Economic Cooperation Organization is an intergovernmental organization, founded in 1985 by Iran, Pakistan and Turkey. Now it has also included Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan.
