did not see her face

Mrs. Karine, mother of six-month pregnant Anna Davtyan who was found dead in Turkey, informed NEWS.am of new details on her daughter’s death. She confirmed that Anna’s body was found in one of the ponds of Trabzon,
but said that she had not seen the corpse herself (despite media reports).
In reply to her request to see daughter’s body, Karine was told that Anna had been buried but the place was kept secret. Police told her that Anna’s corpse was disfigured. They also noted that the body was found by nut gatherers 10 days after the woman died. Mrs. Karine just saw the photos of the corpse. She saw only the legs and hands, but not the face.
Anna’s mother also said that her daughter went to Antalya for holiday. Last time she talked with her on July 17. During their last phone conversation Anna said that she would be in Armenia in several hours, she added. Thereafter, Karine left for Turkey to look for her daughter where she was accompanied by Anna’s husband (she did not disclose the name) who resides in UK. Presently Karine is expecting DNA analysis results.
DNA analysis results are usually available in 1-1.5 months. Karine has not informed of any other details.
