Wow! I didn't expect so many people! Serj Tankian
promises to come to Armenia again

"I did not expect so many people, wow,"- famous Armenian-American rock singer and soloist of System of a Down rock group Serj Tankian sai
d as he started to speak at a press conference today.
This is not the first time the singer has paid a visit to Armenia but today's live concert to be held in the evening in Karen Demirchyan Sports-Complex in Yerevan will be the first one in Armenia. Tankian will present his Elect the Dead Symphony which will make part of his tour called Imperfect Harmonies.
The concert is initiated by Fugitive Studios and Deem Communications.
"I have tried for several times, and I succeeded this time," said he in pure Armenian, adding that he would like to visit Armenia before or after the tour so that to have more time to learn the country.
"I will come again," promised he.
Speaking about today's concert he said there will be a mixture of classic and rock. Famous American VIZA rock group and musicians from Armenia will perform together on the same stage.
Asked to what extent he was familiar with Armenian rock music, Mr Tankian said that he did not know it well. "I am not a lover of one single genre. I am a lover of good music," explained he.
As a good musician he thinks music should have a combination of colors. The works of the System of a Down, in his words, are made more in black, red and violet, while the colors of today's concert are blue and green.
Tankian will sing also in Armenian today. He will perform a new piece which he wrote as he was inspired by reading a book about the Armenian Genocide.
Asked how he spends his leisure time Tankian said he loves listening to music, reading and running.
