Nalbandian and Mottaki discussed Karabakh conflict and Iran’s nuke program issues

January 26, 2010 RA Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki.
Iranian FM is on visit to Armenia to participate in 9th session of Armenian-Iranian intergovernmental commission.
Welcoming his Iranian counterpart, Edward Nalbandian hailed positive Armenian-Iranian friendly and mutually beneficial relations, RA MFA Press Service informed NEWS.am. The officials also discussed bilateral, regional and international issues.
Nalbandian and Mottaki expressed confidence that 9th session of Armenian-Iranian intergovernmental commission will be held at a high level in the context of trade and economic relations. The parties attached significance to the enhancement of legal basis which will contribute to bilateral cooperation expansion.
The Ministers discussed issues related to regional security and stability, including recent developments of Karabakh peace process and Armenia-Turkey normalization. Mottaki welcomed steps to the establishment of Armenia-Turkey relations. Iranian FM also presented Nalbandian recent developments of Iran’s nuke program.
