NKR Defense Army
Council’s meeting

On 6 September President of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic took part in a meeting of the NKR Defense Army’s military council and delivered a speech.
The President reaffirmed the authorities would do their best to maintain an appropriate level of military equipment of the NKR Defense Army and nothing would be spared.
Bako Sahakyan also stressed the necessity for keep high the soldiers’ morale, which includes psychological, educational, social and other aspects.
Touching upon recent violations of the cease-fire regime by Azerbaijan, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief qualified them as terrorist acts that pose a threat both to regional security and to the entire civilized world. President Sahakyan stressed that the best way of preventing aggression is to rebuff it strongly. “If it is not done then the scope of instability will be definitely enlarged,” the President said.
Bako Sahakyan rated high the Defense Army’s fighting efficiency, which was once again proved by effective neutralization of the enemy’s provocations.
The NKR President presented government awards to a group of servicemen for successful prevention of an Azeri reconnaissance group’s attempt to penetrate the NKR territory.
