Armenia's Defense Ministry has not received any official request to repatriate the body of M. Ibrahimov - the Azerbaijani soldier that took part in the June 18 attack on a Karabakhi military post in the contact line with Azerbaijan and was killed in consequence, according to a release issued by Armenia's Defense Ministry.
Four Armenian soldiers were killed and one wounded due to that attack.
The statement reads as follows:
"On July 9 Spokesperson of the Defense Ministry of the Republic of Azerbaijan E. Sabiroglu made a statement accusing Armenia's Defense Ministry of spreading false news.
In this relation, we state one more time that RA DM has not received any official request to repatriate the body of M Ibrahimov who had raided into the territory of the Republic of Nagorno Karabakh.
Our advise to the Spokesperson of the War Ministry of the Republic of Azerbaijan would be to go through history one more time, recall the massacres of Sumgait, Baku, Maragha, [recall] thousands of killed and displaced people of Shahumyan, Getashen, the Azerbaijani assassin officer who axed the sleeping Armenian officer, rather than speak about humanitarian and human norms."
