July 17, 2010 17:37
Turkey will not open border with Armenia for the "Armenia-2010" joint exercise within the framework of NATO "Partnership for Peace", Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu stated at the OSCE Informal Ministerial in Almaty.
Davutoglu said he spoke of the matter with his Azerbaijani counterpart Elmar Mammadyarov, stressing the border opening is impossible now, Turkish Hurriyet daily reports. "Let no one expect it," he added.
As NEWS.am reported previously, Turkey does not rule out a temporary border opening with Armenia to provide access of the country's military equipment to the "Armenia 2010" joint exercise.
